About
Pocket Playbook started as a shared notes document between a few friends who kept texting each other tips late at night. At some point the document got too big and we decided to put it online so other players could use it too. Everything you read here comes from someone who actually sat down and played the game.
We pick titles based on what people are downloading and what our readers ask about. A game doesn't get a guide until at least one of us has spent real hours with it — usually a weekend, sometimes a lot longer if the progression is deep. We don't rush a review out just to be first.
Our ratings are opinions, not science. If a game has clunky controls or a story that falls apart halfway through, we say so. If something surprised us, we say that too. The goal is a guide you'd trust from a friend who got there before you.
We're a small team and we like it that way. It keeps the writing personal and the coverage focused on games we genuinely enjoy breaking down.
