Frontline Dominion

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Frontline Dominion is a real-time strategy game built for touch, and it mostly nails the hardest part: making complex orders feel natural with your thumbs. You expand a base, manage three resource types, and defend lanes against escalating waves while plotting your own pushes. It rewards planning over panic.

The standout is how much terrain matters. Putting a unit on high ground or funneling enemies through a choke point genuinely changes outcomes, so you're thinking like a commander rather than just stacking the biggest army. We lost several matches purely because of lazy positioning, which stung in a good way.

There's a learning curve and the interface is dense at first. Give it the tutorial and one practice skirmish before you judge it. Once the muscle memory kicks in, it's one of the more satisfying strategy games we've played on a phone.
