Mastering drifts in Neon Circuit Rush

June 12, 2026 · Mikael Larsen

Neon Circuit Rush looks like a button-mashy arcade racer, and you can play it that way. But if you want leaderboard times, drifting is everything.

Switch to the tap-steering control scheme if you haven't. We know tilt feels more immersive, but tap gives you the precision needed to initiate drifts exactly at the corner apex instead of a beat too early.

The habit that fixed our times: start the drift a hair before the turn, hold it through the apex, and release right as the track straightens to cash in the boost. Chaining drifts corner to corner is how the top times are built.

Don't ignore the boost pads either. A perfectly timed drift exit onto a boost pad stacks the speed and is genuinely thrilling when it lands.
